Overview

The Alta Via runs through a network of ancient paths and former military roads, dating back to the First World War, connecting the only two refuges in the group. Three days of easy walking among beautiful natural landscapes, severe memories of the Great War, huts and mountain pastures, exemplary evidence of the ancient pact of man with nature. The length of the itinerary is about 28 km, with a total height difference of almost 2030 meters (for those who make the ascent of Cimon di Cima d'Asta it is necessary to add another 380 meters).

Lagorai Group

Great Dolomite walls that have made the history of mountaineering.

The Lagorai mountain group is located south of Predazzo and is mainly composed of porphyry, eruptive rocks formed by quartz and orthoclase. The north-eastern area of the massif is immersed in the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Natural Park.

The massif extends between Monte Panarotta and Passo Rolle with a length of 70 km. The natural borders are the Val di Fiemme to the north, the Val di Cembra to the west, the Valle di Primiero and Vanoi to the east. Characteristic for the Lagorai are the rocky walls in different colors that shine from black to red to green.

The only pass in the chain that can be traveled by car is Passo Manghen, which connects Valsugana with Val di Fiemme.

  • Request a refund of 100% of the amount paid for the trip booked;
  • Pay the difference to cover the fixed costs of the trip and start the trip anyway. Please note that in this case you could face an increase between 50% and 100% of the initial cost of the trip. To activate this opportunity we will need your response within 24 hours
